Soil Waste Recycling

Soil and green waste, such as garden, landscaping, topsoil and construction waste, can be disposed of and recycled by RTS Waste Management.

Construction projects can lead to a large amount of bulky soil waste from earthworks and ground excavations. This can be collected using waste collection services such as roll on roll off skips. Smaller amounts of soil and green waste can be removed using our skip hire services in London and Kent.

Most types of garden waste can be recycled, including hedge cuttings, leaves, plants, small branches, twigs and weeds as well as bark, flowers and grass. Is soil green waste?

In short, no. You cannot put soil in your garden waste bins provided by the council. This is for a number of reasons, mainly because if the bin is too heavy, the council will not empty it. Soil can be taken to your local tip or alternatively, you can get in touch with our friendly team who will be able to advise you on the best solution for you.
